We are pleased to invite you to another Empirical Seminar of the Institute of Economic Research Slovak Academy of Sciences, this time from the field of banking. The invitation has been accepted by Gianni De Nicolo (Johns Hopkins University – Carey Business School, USA), who will present a research on relationship between risk of bank insolvency and Tobin Q. Assuming that this link can be of a non-linear nature, the hypothesis is tested using large sample of publicly quoted US banks.
