We invite you to another Empirical Seminar of the Institute of Economic Research Slovak Academy of Sciences, this time from the field of empirical monetary policy. The invitation has been accepted by Martin Feldkircher (Vienna School of International Studies (DA), Austria), who will present a measure of central bank ideological position that is reported to have an impact on longer-run macroeconomic expectations. The measure is constructed by text-based ideal point analysis, which searches for differences in the tone central banks use to talk about the identified topic.
