American summer seminars for professionals

News

Dear Colleagues,

The J. W. Fulbright Commission offers you the opportunity to attend American summer seminars for professionals.

For the year 2021, seminars are listed in the following areas:

  • US foreign policy
  • Labor force development
  • US economy and trade
  • Journalism and the media in the USA

The exchange program will be in a hybrid format and will consist of an online part during the summer months when participants will attend virtual lectures, workshops or discussions; and full-time form, where participants travel to the United States for two weeks (the expected date is autumn 2021 and winter 2022, respectively).

Suitable candidates (30-50 years old) are motivated teachers and experts from higher education institutions or research organizations (non-profit organizations, think tanks, etc.). Candidates must deal with American studies, international relations and related disciplines, they must be sufficiently erudite in their field and their goal is to incorporate the acquired knowledge into their pedagogical and professional work. The program will provide experienced academics with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of American society, culture, values, and American institutions, enabling them to enhance the quality of teaching about the United States at academic institutions abroad. Excellent English is a prerequisite for attending the seminars.
