Declaration by the Management of the Faculty of Economics, TUKE, Regarding Academic Integrity

Správy

The management of the Faculty of Economics at the Technical University of Košice expresses a clear and unequivocal stance against any form of unethical conduct by students during assessments and examinations. Such behavior is regarded as a serious breach of academic standards, undermining the credibility of the evaluation process and the overall quality of education at our faculty.

We would also like to remind all students the Guidance on conduct and ethics for students of the Faculty of Economics, TUKE, which each student voluntarily signs upon commencing their studies and is expected to uphold throughout the entire duration of their academic journey. These principles constitute the fundamental framework of academic integrity expected from every member of our academic community.

I hereby commit to upholding the following ethical principles as a student of the Faculty of Economics, Technical University in Košice:

1) I pledge to utilize the study materials provided by the faculty exclusively for my educational and professional development, refraining from their use for any dishonest purposes.

2) All submissions, including assignments, semester projects, graded/ungraded credit tests, written and oral examinations, will be the result of my individual and independent effort, with exceptions granted only when cooperative work is allowed by the subject teacher.

3) I will not participate in the completion of assignments, semester projects, graded/ungraded credit tests, written and oral examinations on behalf of another student who intends to present them as their own work for fraudulent evaluation. This prohibition extends to pre-existing and partially modified solutions created by any party.

4) I shall not engage in any activities aimed at enhancing my academic performance through dishonest or fraudulent means, nor will I seek to unfairly influence or harm the learning outcomes of my fellow students through such methods.

Adherence to these principles is not merely a formality—it is a foundational requirement for fostering a trustworthy academic environment. The faculty management will apply disciplinary measures in accordance with TUKE’s regulations in the event of any violations.
