Final Thesis and State examinations
Instructions for assigning Bachelor and Master Thesis in academic year 2021/22
Please note that Bachelor's state examination consists of two parts - Questions and Bachelor Thesis defense.
Master's state examination consists of Master Thesis defense ONLY.
Due to a current situation, final exams will take place ONLINE.
The Final Thesis
- The Final Thesis should be partially submitted into a Final Thesis Portal (PZP). Your Final Thesis Supervisor can see the progress you have made in your Final Thesis and you can gain your credits for Bachelor's Seminar or Diploma Seminar.
- The next step is a submission of The Final Thesis via Library portal (ETD). The University has specific requirements for the format and presentation of the thesis. This you can find after your login into the Library portal (ETD). Also, there will be an electronic check to determine whether there is or isn't a case of plagiarism.
- You can access both portals by using your Login/Password for MAIS.

The Final State Exams
- Students will receive an invitation for a certain time to come to the University building where exams will be held.
- There will be one more person in the room to make sure that exams are transparent. All other participants will be connected from home.
- In order to receive a Bachelor's or Master's Degree, you need to accomplish all the subjects including the Bachelor or Diploma Seminars depending on a Degree level you are currently enrolled.
- Another condition is to have all credits that are required for the Bachelor's Degree - minimum is 180, for Master's Degree - minimum is 120.

Time reserved for registration and submission of final theses at the TUKE University Library:
- Bachelor Thesis in the period from 1.6.2022 to 3.6.2022 (3 working days). You may submit a bachelor thesis earlier, but thesis with a later date of submission on the license agreement will not be accepted for the regular date of the state final exams.
- The date of submission of the bachelor thesis to University library TUKE is no later than June 3, 2022 until 13:00.
- The printing of theses will take place in the library, based on the student's request, more information can be found in the Instructions for registration in University library TUKE.
- Master Thesis in the period from 27.4.2022 to 29.4.2022 (3 working days). ou can submit the diploma thesis earlier, but thesis with a later date of submission on the license agreement will not be accepted for the regular date of the state final exams.
- The date of submission of the diploma thesis to the University library TUKE is no later than April 29, 2022 until 13:00.
- The printing of theses will take place in the library, based on the student's request, more information can be found in the Instructions for registration in University library TUKE.
Important !
- Every student who has fulfilled his/her study obligations and submits the final thesis in due time will be automatically assigned to the regular date of the state final examinations. If he/she does not request an alternative (replacement) date in writing, the regulate date of state final exams will fall through. Even in the case of a retake, it is necessary to submit a written application to the study department.
