Online seminars of the RE-ACT project

News

The Faculty of Economics of the Technical University in Košice held three online seminars of the RE-ACT project (Self-reflection Tools for Smart Universities Acting Regionally), which took place in March 2021. The RE-ACT project aims to use the potential of universities in regional development through self-assessment. HEInnovate is the European Commission's self-assessment tool for universities (https://heinnovate.eu/en). The aim of the RE-ACT project is to use HEInnovate to develop the ability of universities to participate in the creation and implementation of RIS3 (research and innovation strategies for smart specialization). The first workshop has been focused on the design of a new tool "HEInnovate for RIS3", which will allow universities to evaluate their involvement in the activities of the regional innovation system and adjust their structure and strategy of cooperation with regional partners of the quadruple helix model. The second workshop was intended for university staff and the third was delivered for key players in regional development. The events were attended by more than 70 participants from universities, public administration, business and the non-profit sector.
